Loyalty Secret Love Bats

Jakarta - Studies have shown bats have loyalty for life, like humans. These nocturnal creatures have a very strong social structure resembling elephants and dolphins.

The only mammals can fly these scientists studied German for five years with 20 000 observations of the tail bats. They were able to maintain lasting loyalty.

Professor Gerald Kerth of Greifswald University who published a recent study of bats in the journal Proceedings of the Royal Society B provides new insights into this complex of a collection of animals.

"The study shows a multi-level social structure occur in wild bats. Just a case of elephants, dolphins and other primates, including humans. They were able to maintain social relationships, although members of some groups of variables, "said Kerth.

Information about the dynamics of social relations and interactions among individuals is very important to understand the evolution of social animals in the long term.

"In a larger colony, we detected two sub-units of a stable relationship, especially the bat lineage," wrote the study.

The results of this study provide a new understanding of social complexity and social cognition in mammals.
