Thank KSAL KSAL Visit Singapore

June 22, 2011, Jakarta (Jurnas.com): Chief of Naval Staff (KSAL) Admiral Soeparno received a courtesy call the Chief of Navy RSN (Republic of Singapore Navy) / Singapore KSAL Rear Admiral (Rear Admiral) Ng Chee Peng at the Headquarters of the Armed Sea (Mabesal) Cilangkap, in Jakarta, Wednesday (22 / 6).

According Kasubdispenum Marine Colonel (P) Rony E Turangan in a press release, Singapore KSAL received military honors by protocol soldiers lined the Navy as well as inspect the troops accompanied Admiral KSAL Soeparno Mabesal in front of Main Building.

In his meeting with KSAL, Navy Chief Rear Singapore Ng Chee Peng thanked the soldiers of the Navy's participation in IMDEX (International Maritime Defence Exhibition) and the presence of representatives of the Navy officers in the CTF (Combined Task Force) 151 based in the Gulf of Aden, Yemen. In addition KSAL Singapore also strongly agreed to expand and strengthen cooperation between the two Navy has accomplished since 1974, both in joint exercises, officer exchanges and other forms.

In the talks the two leaders of the Navy, Rear KSAL Singapore Ng Chee Peng hopes the Navy and Navy Singapore can co-host on the AIP (ASEAN Information Portal), which will provide training to all Navy in the ASEAN region. Ng Chee Laksda

Peng also expects the Navy officer's presence at the IF (International Fusion Center), based in Singapore's Changi Naval Base as a Liaison Officer (LO) to monitor maritime security.

KSAL welcomed the offer and will soon put the officers of the Navy as an LO. On occasion Soeparno also expressed his gratitude to KSAL Singapore for his willingness to give a public lecture on Regular Education Students Officers Cipulir Seskoal in South Jakarta.
