Foreign Minister Discuss Iran and Kuwait State Relations

Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast say, that the two foreign ministers also discussed about the recent allegations by a Kuwaiti court which stated that some members of the Iranian embassy in Kuwait "was involved in espionage activities in the country."

Mehmanparast quoted Foreign Minister Salehi said that the Islamic Republic of Iran always reaffirmed the no-interference diplomacy directly to other countries, as well as respect for national security and their stability, especially Kuwait.

"Focusing on the issue of obsolescence by the courts of Kuwait and connecting it to the Islamic Republic of Iran is a plot being pursued by those who envy the good and friendly relations with Kuwait, Iran," Foreign Minister said Salehi.

Foreign Ministry earlier said that the allegations by the Kuwaiti court had no merit and called it is an irresponsible step.

Salehi Foreign Minister recalled that the Islamic Republic of Iran has opened the door to the government and people of Kuwait during the country was attacked by former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein in the early 1990s.
