A bit of dog humor to lead us into the Thanksgiving weekend

One of our Embraced pet parents, Corrine F, told us an unfortunate story about her Boston Terrier, Petunia. The ending gave us a good smile so I thought I'd share with you.

569002_boston_terrier_pup When Petunia, my Boston Terrier, was just a pup, she stuck her nose down a hole in the yard that I thought to be a chipmunk hole. It was a yellow jacket ground nest, and she got stung on her face and all over her body.

She had an immediate adverse reaction to the stings; I rushed her to the vet, where she was treated and kept under sedation so that the pain was not unbearable until it was time to go home.

Now, when we are outside walking, if she breaks wind, she whips her head around and runs like the devil, because she thinks it's a bee.

Thanks, Embrace, for covering her bee encounter.

Thank you Corinne for trusting us to cover Petunia, whatever she might get into.
